Samsung S8 is the South Korean smartphone giant’s flagship smartphone for the year 2017. The smartphone launched on April at a starting price of N317 048,30. Galaxy S8 is powered by 1.9GHz octa-core Samsung Exynos 8895 processor. It has 4GB RAM and packs 64GB internal storage, expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. The smartphone comes with what the company calls Infinity Display, featuring dual-edge curved display and 18.5:9 aspect ratio.
The smartphone’s 5.8-inch QHD+ Super Amoled display has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 coating. As for photos, the smartphone 12MP ‘dual-pixel’ camera at the back with optical image stabilisation and f/1.7 aperture. In the front, there’s an 8MP camera with auto-focus. As far as connectivity options go, these include Wi-Fi 802.11ac, 4G LTE, Bluetooth v5.0, USB Type-C, NFC and GPS. For sensors, users will get accelerometer, barometer, gyroscope, ambient light sensor, heart rate sensor, and proximity sensor. The smartphone also supports Samsung Pay.
